For some of us, school is about to start and that means the summer is close to an end. the summer of 2008 has been an interesting one, for real. you have a "black" man getting closer and closer to changing, not only this country, but the world as we know it. you've had OG's in the game beefin with the New Kids On The Block with hilarious results. we've had "hardcore" niggaz cryin on the phone while niggaz were taping the convo like the FEDS. we witnessed an actor's "blaze of glory" in Dark Knight as he played the Joker to perfection, shutting the villain game down. we've seen niggaz "do it BIG" by gettin smaller cars and not giving a fuck like we're back in the high school days of not caring what you drive as long as you got 4 sets of wheels. we've witnessed the most spectacular concert in a while (the Glow In The Dark Tour). we've seen some of the best shoes in history come out for encores this summer with more on the way. we've seen one of, if not, THE hardest working players in the NBA FINALLY win a championship ring. and recently, we've seen the rap game become a black WWE with niggaz portraying roles instead of keeping it real. and since the summer isn't officially over, who knows what else may happen before it ends.
Throughout my life, i've had alot of events that have happened in my life where i was like "damn, if only i got a chance to tell this person how i felt or how i fell". I guess as a youngin and a dude at that, you feel weird about tellin ya boys, fellas, peeps, dunnies, dawgs, homies (or whateva niggaz are callin themselves nowadays) how you feel about them or how much you appreciate them. i left VA so quickly that i never REALLY got to express how i felt to people. SO... wit that in mind:
Big E aka Eazy (wordsfromtheabstract.blogspot.com) -- man, i remember the first time i saw you fam, i wanted to bust out laughin. lol. between them "Celie, Color Purple" cornrows and the extra medium clothes, you were a funny lookin ass, Cornelius from Planet of the Apes lookin dude. but once i got to know you and hang out wit you, i saw you as a real ass dude, fam. that's the main reason i kept pushin for you to come to the store and take my spot. real talk, fam, even though you are a couple months younger than me, you always inspired me to step my game up. big ups.
Jus (thenewissue.blogspot.com) -- i remember tryin to get you to join the crew and you were like "naw, man i'm good over here at Up Against The Wall" and no matter how many times i tried to get you to come over, you weren't havin it. but the minute LARRY asked you, you came over. lmao. but its all good. i'm just mad we never got to work together that much to have some of the wild adventures that i've had there but you are still "Fam". keep grindin, fam. you'll be a rep soon enough.
Tommy (m1tchfranc1s.blogspot.com) -- dude you are a character, fam. lol. we had a rift for a hot second because of some actual "He Say, She Say", but you are still cool wit me, fam. i just feel kinda messed up because i never got to personally squash it with you in person. but its all love, fam. keep postin shit to make me laugh at work.
Scott -- even though you were the butt of most of my jokes at the store, you were/still are like a little brother to me, man. sometimes you can be a "swag snatcha", but its all good, i do it too. lol. keep grindin and doin ya movie thing and work hard on ya singin.
The Warehouse Crew (Jay, Bryan, Walt, and Daryl) -- yall were the oddest, most normal muthafuckas i ever kicked it with. lol. even with that "DC situation" yall are still my brothers and i wish we had that moment on camera, that shit would have made some good Reality TV material. Bryan, stay cool and tell Juanita if she doesn't try out for America's Next Top Model, i will personally come up and drop kick her myself. Jay....keep being you, your nephews are lucky to have a dope ass uncle like you, fam. Walt....be easy and keep the energy up. Daryl....the only big dude i know that can skate. lol. congratulations on takin that big step man. hold it down and keep it gangsta.
Will -- "Black Man #2" lol. man, i wish you had worked more so i could have said Peace, but you know what it is, fam. keep it gutta and stop rippin ya pants.
Renato and Zack -- if it wasn't for yall lettin me chillin the store while Larry was out of town and bringin me into the crew, i wouldn't be where i am today. we've had issues, but what crew doesn't. it was all out of love, fam. if it wasn't for yall, Larry and Jay, i would still be wearin Girbauds (shudders...). lmao
Larry and Omar -- no words can express the thanx i have for yall. so on that note, i salute yall. thanx.
Louise -- even though you were younger (and shorter) than me, you were always like my big sister. we argued sometimes, laughed alot and talked all the time. you have no idea how thankful i was for those Koala Yummies and those apples from that chocolate store. i owe you TOO much for that. thanks lil homey.
Virginia aka Lisa Turtle -- man, i don't know what to say.....seriously. just playin. you were like my little sister which is why i was so hard on you in the beginning, i didn't want to see you fail because you don't see to many black girls in our line of work selling what we sell to our customers. but after we had that sit down and i explained everything, it was all good. keep holdin it down.
The hundres of customers who came through and just wanted to chill wit ya boy and took my advice when it came to coppin stuff and helped me become the best seller in the crew.....i would be what i am with out yall. thanx.
As much as i hated VA at times, it was yall that helped me through it. i am blessed to have met all yall, and thats from the heart. I was alone out there but yall were like family and yall held me down. so when i say "fam", thats exactly what yall are...family, which is alot more than being a friend. real talk, i love all yall and i mean that.

HERE IS THE POSTING FROM MOSLEY TRIBES..
For those of you that have been following the MOSLEY TRIBES x CROOKS & CASTLES Castellano Colab there has been a lot of heat coming from our man Jay. He has been seen in the streets wearing the Castellano for the last 2 months strong and the Glastonbury performance was epic. This morning i get to the office and our PR Director Jamie brings Womens Wear Daily to my desk and to show me this ad. For one second I feel that we cannot surpass this type of free press and then i notice rocawear eyewear at the bottom and now i get it. With a closer look you can tell that someone who took one community college photoshop class erased part of the right temple detail and dropped in the rocawear eyewear logo. This is a blatant hijack of our creation to sell it to the masses, wow. I did some research on the company that is knocking off the Castellano and called them on the phone to blast them, they stated that this was their sole creation. Just to set the record straight we released the Castellano at Magic 07 last year. Feel free to call them and let them know that they have great and innovative ideas, the number is 1.866.465.2656.
wooooow, jigga, is this how you show love fam? smdh.
sometimes you just gotta turn on some good music and just meditate and reflect on shit thats goin on. sometimes i get caught up in bullshit and start complaining about shit, then i realize, i'm a blessed individual. i'm gettin money, i have plenty of loved ones, i'm pretty healthy (not as much as i should, but i'm workin on it), and i'm alive. alot of people can't say any of that, so in a sense, i'm very priviledged. not many people get to wake up each day to the sunrise, real talk.

NEW YORK (AP)—The NFL is stepping up its monitoring of on-field player activities to ensure that no one is flashing the hand signals of street gangs.
The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday that the league had hired experts to look at game tapes and identify players or team officials who might be using suspected gang signals. Violators would be warned and disciplined if the episodes recurred.
League officials said Tuesday that avoiding gang-related activities has long been stressed.
They said the scrutiny was intensified after the shooting death of Denver cornerback Darrent Williams in 2007 after Williams was involved in a dispute with known gang members. Anti-gang information is included in orientation literature and stressed in the annual mandatory league meeting for rookies.
The NFL took further notice after Paul Pierce of the NBA’s Boston Celtics was fined $25,000 in April for what the league said was a “menacing gesture” toward the Atlanta Hawks’ bench. “I 100 percent do not in any way promote gang violence or anything close to it.” Pierce said in a statement. “I am sorry if it was misinterpreted that way at Saturday’s game.”
The Times said that was the precipitating incident for the NFL.
“We were always suspicious that might be happening,” it quoted Mike Pereira, the NFL’s vice president of officiating, as saying of gang-related signals. “But the Paul Pierce thing is what brought it to light. When he was fined … that’s when we said we need to take a look at it and see if we need to be aware of it.”
Most senior NFL officials were at a league outing Tuesday and could not immediately be reached for comment.
Here is what Paul Pierce was fined over..

Somebody has put the REAL movie prop shoe of the nike "Air Mag" aka Marty McFly's on Ebay. its only one shoe. and it works. its the actual one that Michael J. Fox wore in the flick. a little fact: The reason the shoe is called the Air Mag is because it was supposed to be used in a scene where Marty plays a game and the shoes were made to work like magnets so the players could run on walls, hence, the name Air Mags. but yeah, get some serious dough if you want to cop this and "son" people with Hyperdunks by having the real thing.

After almost 10 years behind bars Stanley “Flesh N Bone” Howse is now officially a free man. The 34-year-old rapper, who was originally sentenced to twelve years for threatening a friend with an AK 47, was released from his California penitentiary early yesterday morning (June 13) to the waiting arms of family and friends which included Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy and Wish Bone. This now marks the first time that all five of the original members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have been together in over a decade. “It feels amazing, refreshing, exciting [and] I'm so happy for him to finally come home to his family and friends and fans,” Bone Thug’s longtime manager Steve Lobel told AllHipHop.com. “Flesh is a very great, loving, talented, creative individual. We have a lot of memories together. Hopefully we can have more.” Upon his release Flesh-N-Bone wasted no time getting back to work. All five Bone members instantly hit the studio to begin work on their upcoming album, which is expected to be released on Interscope through a joint venture with Swizz Beatz’ Full Surface imprint. The album will be the follow up to the 2007’s gold selling Bone album Strength and Loyalty which only featured three of the original quintet due to Flesh’s imprisonment and Bizzy Bone being shown the door. Bizzy Bone also reconciled and recently reunited with the group, officially making the group a quintet again. "I know his Bone brothers are so excited he's home and now they can make history again,” Lobel said. “They all deserve it. They are amazing and unstoppable together as a team. Thanks to all the fans who wrote to Flesh while he was away and stuck by his side and supported him. I know his brother Layzie [born Steven Howse] couldn't wait for this time to come.” Flesh is also expected to start working on his third solo album and will begin looking for a label home in the coming weeks. The Cleveland born rapper enjoyed his best success with his 1996 Def Jam release entitled T.H.U.G.S. which went on to be certified Gold later that year.
those who have known me since i was 11 know that i was a huge Bone fan (pause). hopefully they will get themselves together and bring some good music back since the E. 1999 days. wow, so know i have more to look forward to than just Outkast.
this shit is HO-larious!!
